FAQs

You have questions, we have answers!

Why is PFCU upgrading its banking system?

In recent member surveys, PFCU was rated as a leader in member service, products, services, and overall member satisfaction. However, an area of opportunity was in our technology. We want to be the best we can be, so we started a journey to enhance our technology offerings. Some solutions have been introduced, and this year we are focusing on our digital banking platforms including Online, Mobile, and Bill Pay.

The enhanced Online and Mobile Banking will offer a fresh new look, more intuitive design, and enhanced functionality to manage all your financial needs. The new system also offers strengthened security, improved compliance capabilities, and flexibility to support future growth and innovation for members.

There will be updates to:

  • Picatinny FCU Online Banking
  • Picatinny FCU Mobile App
  • Additional self-service options online
  • New and improved Personal Finance Management through Yodlee
  • Electronic notices and billing statements
  • Managing and paying Picatinny FCU loans
  • Viewing copies of all checks deposited through Online and Mobile Banking

Yes, in the best way possible! The Online and Mobile Banking experience will offer updated tools, improved functionality and a more user-friendly design. You’ll have convenient access to your accounts and new features that make managing your finances easier than ever.

As part of our system upgrade, some account numbers may be updated behind the scenes and do not affect your daily banking. These changes are administrative in nature to improve accuracy, security, and flexibility while keeping everyday banking experiences seamless.

  • Account number structure: Accounts will be assigned a unique number based on your member number and account suffix, which allows for clearer identification across all account types
  • Checking Accounts (Share Drafts): Your checking account will use its full 13-digit number located on your check as the primary account number.
  • In rare cases where duplicate numbers could occur (such as with certain loan suffixes), an additional digit may be added to ensure ever account number remains unique.

These behind-the-scenes changes do not impact the use of your current Picatinny Federal Credit Union debit card, credit card, or checks.

No, you can continue to use your current Picatinny Federal Credit Union debit card, credit card, and checks as usual. Any changes to account numbers are largely administrative and do not impact members’ daily banking.

There will be a new centralized, intuitive, and streamlined Bill Pay interface to give your better visibility into and make managing your payments easier than ever. As the launch day nears, we will be updating this page and sending communications with all the important information you need to ensure a smooth transition to the new experience.  Please be on the lookout for these communications in your email and mailbox and be sure to visit this page at any time for the most up-to-date information and tools.

While account numbers are changing, the following remain the same and require no action on your part:

  • ACH deposits and withdrawals will continue normally
  • Checks will work the same
  • All payees information in bill pay will carry over
  • Direct deposits, scheduled payments, and automatic or recurring payments carry over and remain uninterrupted

There are a few steps we’ve recommended members take in preparation for the upgrade and member will need to download the new Picatinny Federal Credit Union Mobile App after the upgrade. To ensure the transition is seamless, members should review and compete the member checklist for details. Please be on the lookout for these communications in your email and mailbox and be sure to visit this page at any time for the most up-to-date information and tools.
